| Understanding relationships between the size and properties of nanomaterials is essential. This knowledge and mastering the art of shaping physical/chemical properties of nanosystems will lead to a revolution in chemistry and could result in, for example, highly efficient and specific catalysts, highly efficient solar cells, and specific chemical and biological sensors. Researchers at Emory University are collaborating with researchers at national laboratories. Combining the Environmental Molecular Sciences Laboratory's high-performance computer with novel models, these researchers will greatly advance our fundamental, scientific knowledge of nanomaterials. |
